Our own media app — radio, live TV, and your own playlists, unified across phone, TV, and car. Designed, built, and launched in-house.

Listening is scattered across apps: one for radio, another for live TV, a third for the playlists and files you actually own. Switch from your phone to your TV to your car and the fragmentation multiplies — different apps, different accounts, different remotes.
Combust Media is our answer, and our own product: one player for radio, live TV, and personal playlists, with a single account that follows you across every screen. Being both client and studio meant no compromises between the product vision and the build.
The hard problem is that “every screen” isn’t a slogan — it’s four different interaction models. A phone wants thumb reach and lock-screen controls; a TV wants a remote-friendly grid readable from the sofa; a car wants glanceable, driver-safe controls. One product had to feel native in all four places without becoming four products.
Building our own product keeps the studio honest. Every lesson lands back in client work: store review cycles on two platforms, account sync across devices, streaming reliability, and the discipline of cutting features that don’t serve the core loop — press play, and it plays.
Combust Media is live — free on the App Store and Google Play, with Android TV and Android Auto support, and a product site at combust.media.
